Dr. Clark D Cash has been practicing orthodontics since 1992 and prior to that practiced general dentistry for three years. Dr. Cash has both a masters degree and a doctorate degree in dentistry from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. He also earned his Masters in Orthodontics from the University of Kentucky (1989-1992). The years of additional training to be an orthodontic specialist make him uniquely qualified to provide the highest level of orthodontic care. Dr. Cash knows continuous education keeps him on the cutting edge of new techniques and technology and is committed to continuing his education multiple times a year.
He is currently a member of the American Dental Association®, Bluegrass Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists®, the Kentucky Dental Association and the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists.
Choosing a career in orthodontics takes great commitment and discipline, as well as a strong desire to reach out to others who need your expertise. Dr. Cash likes to take that outreach one step further by passionately participating in extracurricular community activities, such as coaching, volunteering his time as a dentist on missions to Honduras, Guatemala, Brazil, Peru and Thailand, serving as a teacher in his local church and speaking to school groups during Children’s Dental Health Month. He also volunteers as a general dentist at the Mission Frankfort Clinic.
His goal in dentistry is to serve his patients by seeking to understand their needs, provide information and education about their treatment options and then deliver the best treatment outcome. To reach this end, Dr. Cash trains his staff to have a united, like-minded perspective. He wants his patients to smile because they received a great result and they have felt our support as we serve them.
“I love what I do as an orthodontist and dentist. I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve this community.”
Dr. Cash is a native of Cynthiana, KY, and currently resides in Lexington, KY, with his wife, Trudy. He enjoys all sports and the outdoors, including hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. He also has a German Short-haired Pointer named Sadie who gives him plenty of exercise and serves as our office mascot!
